Yo-yo Manufacturing

Overview:

I worked in a six-person team to design and manufacture 50 yo-yo's using industry manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, thermoforming, and die cutting. My team designed the yo-yos in CAD, designed the molds for injection molded and thermoformed parts, manufactured the yo-yos, and assembled them. The process included analyzing the financial and operational factors of the manufacturing process to propose our design for a financially viable path to manufacturing 1 million units per year.

My contribution:

• Designed mold in CAD & set up mold machining tooling in CAM

• Set up and operated injection molding machine to produce yo-yo parts.

• Operated the thermoforming machine to produce yoyo parts.
